PhotoShops are among the most expensive image editing tools on the market. For serious hobbyists, however, an inexpensive photo editor might meet those needs. Don’t hesitate to use one of those tools to edit a few of your favorite photos.

This book introduces you to Photoshop’s many tools. We show you how to use Photoshop’s tools to perform basic image editing tasks, including cropping, resizing, modifying colors, and adding special effects. These tools include the Curves tool, Lens Blur filter, and the Liquify Filter.

We also explain how to work with layers and layers masks to refine and enhance your images. (See the upcoming “Matching layers to the background layer” section for more on layers and layers masks.)

We also help you to enhance your images using photomasks, which we describe in the upcoming section “Working with photomasks.”

Photoshop’s powerful graphics engine enables you to create images that are all-textured or completely abstract — each of which have their own challenges. We help you build solid skills to create these abstract images by showing you how to use the various drawing tools.

Finally, this book helps you use Photoshop to create special effects, including matte paintings, textures, and explosions, using the various filters. We point out many of the tools that can be used to create these effects, such as Dodge and Burn, Burn-In, and Motion Blur filters. We also help you to use liquify filters and masking to create special effects, such as textures and explosion masks.

With all these tools at your disposal, you can quickly create images that range from the simplest to the most sophisticated.

We hope that this book demystifies Photoshop so that you can quickly and easily use it to edit photos, which everyone can use on their own projects. Use the tools to create and embellish your photos as you see fit.

## An Introduction to Photoshop

In this book, we use the digital format for all of the images you will see. You can save all images in the JPEG format, but you might find that saving in the TIFF format offers you more options for adjusting your image. The JPEG format is less expensive to download, although as you create more and more images, the JPEG files that you create consume larger amounts of space and so the more difficult it is to save them. On the other hand, if you want to print your images, the TIFF format is the best

The program is available for macOS, Windows (via Windows Store), and Linux.

Unlike traditional Photoshop, the editing in Photoshop Elements is super easy. As you can see in the image below, you can drag and drop a preset in the toolbox.

It also includes an auto-save function, so if you accidentally delete a file, don’t panic. Just press the auto-save button and your work will be preserved in a file named “File… Auto Save As.”

Why use Photoshop Elements

Some of the most popular software today use the most powerful editing features of Photoshop, but their interface is very difficult to use, not everyone understands it and many professional designers shy away from it for lack of confidence.

On the other hand, Photoshop Elements is easy to use. Almost every professional photographer uses it. It also has a great features list, has many fine details in its interface, and includes many useful tools.

I will divide this list into a few categories so you know what you can do with the program.

Editing tools

Most of the editing features of Photoshop are available in Photoshop Elements, but the tools are better organized. Let’s see all of them.

Rulers and guides

As you can see in the image below, Elements has rulers and guides. The following is what you can do with these tools:

You can set the ruler type:

– Fixed

– Fixed for selected objects

– Sliding

– Tracking

– Fluid

– Guides

When you have a selection, you can lock it or unlock it:

– To lock a selection, hold down “Ctrl” and click the selection area.

– To unlock a selection, press “Ctrl” while moving the selection area.

– To exit from “lasso mode,” hold down “Ctrl” while holding down “Shift” and clicking.

These guides create guides that you can move to create a new guide. You can set guide colors, create a new guide, lock a guide, and delete a guide.

Using these tools, you can align images to a grid, export the canvas of your picture, create guides and a lot more.

Photoshop Elements has an eraser tool, but it

How to extract last string from text?

I have a String like this:

the string will be text value from database as shown above.
I want to extract the string just after the last “&”. Can any of you please help me. Thank you.

Try this:
String last_string = “your string is located at the end”;
int size = last_string.length() – (last_string.lastIndexOf(‘&’) + 1);
String ret = last_string.substring(size,last_string.length());

That’s it.

When the Civil War ended the Rt. Rev. Henry Codman Potter, the rector of Christ Church, was assigned to General William Tecumseh Sherman’s military office in the South. After the war, in 1865, he toured Europe and the Near East (and other places) and wrote his Book of Travel,[2] described by H.W. Brands as the first major work of American travel writing. (It was the same year that Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote her own widely read travel book, Among the Hills of Tennessee,[3])

The book was dedicated to Helen Codman Potter, the daughter of Henry Codman Potter and Mary Hartwell Fitch, who had just returned from their 1864 journey to California.[4] The first chapter, published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1867, was entitled “Voyage Around the Globe”. It may be described as a travel narrative in the form of a diary.

An excerpt from the original book is in the Internet Archive. The excerpts cover nearly the first third of the book, and include the author’s introduction about how he intended it to be read and the extensive edits that he made after he published it. I have not read the book itself yet.

The book makes heavy use of a three-act drama. The episodes are “Going Around the World”, “Among the Ruins of the East”, and “Under the High Seas” and cover the author’s travels and experiences during his 1866-1867 world tour.

The original book was illustrated with water-colors, chiefly in pen-and-ink and pencil. During the early 1900s, the New-York Public Library held a collection of the colored sketches; today there are a number

Getting Http error 503 when accessing Azure blob container using powershell

I am getting the following error while getting the content of a blob container.
At line:1 char:1
+ new-object -typename ‘Microsoft.Azure.Storage…. l

+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [New-Object], RemoteException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Commands.ServiceManagement.Data.NewObjectCommand

ErrorMessage:HTTP Error 503.The service is unavailable.
Is there any workaroung for this?

The error message probably says it all:

The service is unavailable.

I don’t know whether the problem is on your Azure side or not (since you don’t give any details on your deployment of azure storage blob) but you might first check if you have a service unavailable on your end and see if it’s a transient error or just a error you should be aware of.
